Minimum Diving Certification: Advanced Open Water Diver
Accessible By Boat | Maximum Depth: 40m
Only a few kilometers away from Sounio lies one of Attica's most famous diving spots, shrouded in a variety of myths.

Commonly known as the "car graveyard," it earned its name from the vehicles hidden on the seabed. Around 12 cars and scattered spare parts accompany divers from a depth of 20 meters down to 35 meters, offering a unique diving experience.

Rumor has it that individuals would "hide" their cars in this spot to claim insurance money, often after stripping the vehicles of valuable parts. Another theory suggests the cars were stolen and used in illegal activities, eventually being dumped here to erase evidence.

Regardless of their origin, many of these cars remain in relatively good condition, providing stunning photo opportunities as they have gradually become artificial reefs.

The marine life you'll encounter includes lionfish, moray eels, and seabream, some of the permanent residents of this unusual dive site.
